Cookie policy
Last updated: 6 April 2026
This document describes how Forcefloraai.world (“we”) uses cookies and similar technologies on your terminal equipment. It should be read together with our privacy policy, which explains how any personal data obtained through cookies is processed under the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (Ireland).
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and other storage or tracking mechanisms that perform a comparable function. They may be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another domain, for example if you consent to analytics or marketing tools).
2. Legal framework in Ireland
In Ireland, the use of cookies and similar technologies is regulated primarily by the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 336 of 2011), as amended (commonly referred to as the Irish ePrivacy Regulations), which transpose the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) into Irish law.
Under those rules, storing or accessing information on your device generally requires consent unless the technology is strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by you (or falls within another applicable exemption). Consent must meet the GDPR standard: freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous (Article 4(11) and Article 7 GDPR). The Data Protection Commission publishes guidance on cookies and tracking technologies on dataprotection.ie.
Where cookie data relates to an identified or identifiable individual, it is also personal data under the GDPR and must have a lawful basis under Article 6 GDPR (and Article 9 where special categories apply—we do not use cookies for that purpose).
3. Consent and your choices
When you first visit our site, you can accept all optional categories, reject optional categories (keeping strictly necessary tools only), or open cookie settings to toggle analytics and marketing separately. We aim to give equal prominence to accepting and refusing non-essential cookies, consistent with guidance from the Data Protection Commission and the European Data Protection Board.
You may withdraw or change consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser, using our banner controls when shown again, or contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
4. Categories we use
4.1 Strictly necessary
These technologies are essential to provide the service you request—for example, remembering your cookie choices, maintaining security, or enabling basic page functionality. They are placed without consent where Irish law permits as strictly necessary. Typical lifetime: up to 12 months unless a shorter period is required for security.
4.2 Analytics (optional)
If you grant consent, we may deploy measurement tools to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Data is configured to minimise identifying detail. Lifetime depends on the vendor (often 12–24 months) and is refreshed only while consent remains valid.
4.3 Marketing (optional)
These technologies help us promote the site—for example reminders about new articles, limited offers on our own materials, or measurement linked to online advertising (such as conversion or audience insights through networks like Google Ads). They may involve third-party pixels, tags, or similar tools on our pages. They are used only with your prior consent under Irish and EU ePrivacy rules where required. Lifetime is governed by the provider and your renewed consent; you can also use vendor opt-out pages linked from their policies.
5. How to manage preferences
You can:
- Use the on-site banner switches labelled “Strictly necessary”, “Analytics”, and “Marketing”. Necessary items remain enabled.
- Press “Reject optional” to disable analytics and marketing while keeping essentials.
- Press “Accept all” to allow optional categories.
- Clear site data via browser settings; the banner will reappear until you choose again.
- Contact request@forcefloraai.world if you cannot adjust settings.
Browser vendors publish options to block or delete cookies and site data; refer to their help centres. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage may affect how the site functions.
6. Record of consent
We store a record of your choices in localStorage under the key cookie_consent_v1 (JSON with category flags and a timestamp). This helps demonstrate consent under Irish and EU law. It is not used to build a marketing profile. If you clear browser storage, the banner may reappear so you can choose again.
7. Data Protection Commission
If you consider that our use of cookies or similar technologies infringes data protection or ePrivacy law, you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, Canal House, Station Road, Portarlington, Co. Laois, R32 AP23, Ireland (www.dataprotection.ie).
8. Updates
When we introduce new non-essential tags or materially change how we use cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, refresh consent before activating those tools.
